Rumor

Rumor is known for his brains, drive and type.  He has a very high energy level and has produced this in his offspring.  He is always eager to work.  He has a tremendous food and toy drive.  That drive combined with his intense energy level made training and competing a breeze.  Rumor is smallish for a Miniature Poodle standing at 13 ¾ inches and weighing 14 ½ pounds.  Rumor finished his breed championship quickly while still in puppy trim, earning a major the first time in the ring from the 6-9 puppy class and finishing his championship going Best of Breed to earn his second major.

Risk for developing prcd form of PRA: Pattern A dogs of your breed are statistically normal for prcd-PRA and are not expected to develop this disease or pass it to offspring. There is a low theoretical chance that a Pattern A dog could have a false negative result and therefore be a carrier (risk is less than 0.5%) or even be affected (risk is less than 0.0025%). No known Pattern A dog has developed prcd-PRA or produced prcd-PRA-affected offspring, and no known prcd-PRA affected dog has tested Pattern A. Note that PRA in Poodles consists of at least two different genetic defects; a dog of known status for prcd-PRA could still be at risk for another form of PRA.

Significance for breeding: Pattern A dogs can be bred to any dog and, with at least 99.5% confidence, will not produce pups affected by the prcd form of PRA.

von Willebrand's Testing

Rumor was recently tested for von Willebrand's disease, and his results came back "Clear."
